Welcome to Excursions of Escalante-
We are entering our tenth year as Escalante’s first locally based professional guide service. Our commitment is to safely guide our guests beyond the more accessible places (Spooky, Peekaboo, Big Horn, etc.) and into the most remote, beautiful and pristine corners of the Escalante region. Our Permits in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Box Death Hollow Wilderness Area, San Rafael Swell and Dixie National Forest, allow us to offer unparalleled off trail hiking, canyoneering and backpacking opportunities to our guests.
Our niche is in guiding limited group sizes. This allows us to cater specifically to our guests’ abilities, sense of adventure and busy vacation schedules. Trips can range from light slot canyon hiking or overnight backpacking trips, to high adventure canyoneering. With seemingly countless canyons to select from, we can safely match our guests to the canyons perfect to their ability. And our open reservation system makes booking the trip you want, when you want, a whole lot easier! Working with small groups enables us to effeciently meet and exceed our guests’ wide range of outdoor expectations..... and have a great time doing it!
